Gardening Keeps Us Healthy Monday Movie Series: "Polycultures: Food Where We Live," Jan. 3

Why wait until spring to think about gardening? Join BNAN Master Urban Gardeners at the Codman Square Library as they present family movies about eating well and gardening in the city. Presented by BNAN and Boston Gardeners’ Council. Come and enjoy "Polycultures: Food Where We Live", a documentary film that features diverse communities around Cleveland, Ohio coming together to grow a more sustainable and local food system.

"Gardening Keeps Us Healthy" will run in Dorchester between the months of January through March. Most of the films will screen at the Codman Square Library on Monday nights from 6:00-7:30pm on the following dates: 1/3/11, 1/31/11, 2/7/11 and 3/7/11. There is one film for children that will take place at the Uphams Corner Library at 4:00pm on Monday, January 24th.

"Gardening Keeps Us Healthy" also offers a Children's Reading Hour. Come hear stories about the food people grow and eat all over the world. Discover how gardening is a way to find adventure, make new friends and stay healthy. The Children's Reading Hour takes place on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:00 at the Codman Square Library beginning 1/5 and ending on 2/23.
