National “Dot Day” Story and Artsy Afternoon, Sep. 15

Vashti believes that she cannot draw, but her art teacher's encouragement leads her to change her mind. You, too, can discover how the mind can foster beautiful artistic creation! Come to the Grove Hall Branch Library from 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 15 to celebrate Peter Reynolds' book, The Dot, and learn about art and imagination. Then, make your very own dot to be displayed in the library! Meet in the Grove Hall Children's Activity Room.

The Grove Hall Branch of the Boston Public Library is located at 41 Geneva Avenue, Dorchester and can be reached at (617)427-3337. View a schedule online at www.bpl.org/branches/gh_calendar.htm.
