"Planting Seeds of Hope": EV (Earthen Vessels) 30th Anniversary Gala, Oct. 10

Earthen Vessels, a faith-based non-profit, will host a Gala October 10th to celebrate 30 years of service with youth of Boston's disadvantaged neighborhoods. The Gala will feature a silent and live auction with Red Sox and Celtics tickets and memorabilia, a keynote address by Alan Khazei, City Year founder, candidate for Senate in 2009, and author of the new book Big Citizenship. Honorees include co-founders Marie-Claude and Brian Thompson; successful EVkid alumnus Uri Berenguer, NESN Daily Co-Host; and EVtutor alumnus Scott Murphy, U.S. House of Representatives (NY). The evening will be hosted by NECN anchor and EVkid alumna Latoyia Edwards, along with radio and TV personality Jim Braude (WTKK & NECN).
