Swing for Boston Golf Tournament at Franklin Park, Oct. 7

Hole-in-one! The City of Boston presents the second annual Swing for Boston Classic charitable golf tournament hosted by Mayor Thomas M. Menino on Thursday, October 7, at the William J. Devine Golf Course in Franklin Park, Dorchester. The tournament is presented by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with Boston Centers for Youth and Families to raise funds for the year-round Junior Golf Program.

Honorary co-chairs Boston Red Sox President and CEO Larry Lucchino and UMass Boston Chancellor J. Keith Motley, Ph.D. will join Mayor Menino for this fun event.

The 18-hole Swing for Boston Classic tournament will be in a scramble format and will feature a tented gala luncheon and awards ceremony, and many other surprises. Principal sponsors include Bank of America, Reebok, tournament sponsor State Street Corporation, and hole sponsor UMass Boston. A host of sponsorship levels are still available ranging from individual participants to title sponsor.
