At 3 p.m., you can enjoy "One World, Many Stories: Storytime & Craft w/ The Pierce House" as part of the Boston Public Library's Summer Reading program. Show up at 6 p.m. for Lower Mills's Monday Night Movie - this time, the film will be "Gnomeo & Juliet."

"A World of Bridges" at Grove Hall, Aug. 11

Bridge"A World of Bridges" is coming to Grove Hall Branch Library on Thursday, August 11, 2011! This Museum of Science program allows kids to construct bridges as they are done all over the world. Children ages 4-10 will find this program very exciting. Shows are at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

"Just So Stories" at Fields Corner, Aug. 10

What's popping up at Fields Corner Branch Library on Wednesday, August 10? More than "just" puppets! The Mighty Tatterdemalian Puppet Co. will present an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's famed "Just So Stories." Come by at 10:30 a.m. for a terrific show!

Ladies First Film Screening, Jul. 29

Ladies FirstLadies First presents a film screening of work by young female directors at Hancock 309 Gallery & Consignment Street on July 29! Come to 309 Hancock Street at 7 p.m. to see the films of directors Veronica Wells, Elizabeth Tambascio, Paloma Valenzuela, and Sheen Quintyne. Family Fun Days at Wainwright Park, Jul. 23, Aug. 6, Aug. 20

Family Fun DayEnjoy Family Fun Days in Wainwright Park this summer! The fun takes place on Saturdays July 23, August 6 and August 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Family Fun Days are sponsored by St. Mark Parish and the City of Boston, with support from community organizations such as the BOLDTeens, local residents, and Area C-11 Police. These summer cookouts feature a DJ, games, sports, cotton candy, a moon bounce, and an ice cream truck. Food from the grill is provided, but those who are willing and able are asked  to bring some food to share (salad, fruit, side dish, or dessert).

"Gnomeo and Juliet" in Garvey Park, Jul. 22

Thanks to BCYF, Garvey Park will be R.O.C.K.ing on July 22. The Leahy-Holloran Community Center has secured equipment to host a FREE outdoor movie in right field of Garvey Park @ 8:20 p.m. Bring some snacks, a blanket or chairs and bug spray and enjoy Gnomeo and Juliet. The more families and neighbors that come out and enjoy this great evening, the more likely it will happen again! While there, ask about all the great programming that is taking place thanks to the Leahy~Holloran Community Center and their partners: BCYF, Boston R.O.C.K.S., St. Ann CYO/Youth Ministry, PHNA and the Bostonian Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

The Fields Corner Collaborative is pleased to kick off My Dot Tour, a multimedia, youth-led walking tour of Fields Corner in Dorchester this August! The free tours will take place Saturday August 6 and 13 at 11 a.m. and on Sunday August 7 and 14 at 4 p.m. Tours depart from Gallagher Insurance (~1471 Dorchester Ave) and Pho Hoa (1356 Dorchester Avenue) will host a reception after each tour where participants can cool off indoors and enjoy delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Codman Square Farmers' Market Kick Off Event, Jul. 21
