Idealist Grad School Fair, Sep. 19

Idealist.orgIdealist.org invites you to their upcoming Grad School Fair on Monday, September 19th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., in Boston University's George Sherman Union at 775 Commonwealth Avenue. Idealist Grad Fairs are for undergrads, professionals, and anyone thinking of going to grad school to further their social impact career. Join Idealist and meet representatives from 180 different graduate programs offering degrees in Social Work, Public Health, Public Administration, International Affairs, and Urban Planning, among many others.

MassBike Spin Series & MetroFuture Neponset Greenway Bike Ride, Sep. 17

Join MassBike & DOT Bike of Dorchester for the first ever MetroFuture Walks & Talks Bike Ride at 10:30 a.m. on September 17! The bike ride will span about 12 miles along the coast, with some on road travel, including a visit to Victory Park and is suitable for adult riders of all abilities. Prior to the bike ride, learn about the work that the Metropolitan Area Planning Council does regarding bicycle planning, including more about the new Hubway Bike Share. Hear more about MassBike and about specific DOT Bike advocacy projects such as their work with the Boston Natural Areas Network (BNAN) to push for closing the gap in the Dorchester Coast Trail. Bring your own bike and meet at JFK Station on the Red Line to learn about biking in Boston and to enjoy a pleasant coastal bike ride. Book Signing with Caroline Kennedy, Oct. 3

Members of the public are invited to join Caroline Kennedy as she signs copies of Jacqueline Kennedy: Historic Conversations on Life with John F. Kennedy. The deluxe book and CD set, published by Hyperion on September 14, 2011, makes available for the first time the audio and transcripts of seven interviews given by Mrs. Kennedy shortly after her husband’s death. Copies of Jacqueline Kennedy: Historic Conversations on Life with John F. Kennedy will be available for purchase in the JFK Museum Store prior to the book signing. 

The book signing was originally to be held Monday, September 19 at 7:00 p.m. and was postponed to October 3d. It will still be held in the Pavilion at the John F. Lorenz Island Kuisine presents The 5th Annual One Heart Festival in Codman Square, to be held on Saturday, September 10th from 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 661 Washington Street, Dorchester, MA. This free, all ages event features live entertainment, food and specialty vendors. The mission of One Heart Festival is to unite Boston’s diverse communities and visitors together for a fun day of live entertainment, food and shopping that all can enjoy. Audition for The Nutcracker, Sep. 11

Tisn't the season just yet... but some Christmas shows have to get prepped far in advance!
