Saturday, Sept. 25 is Museum Day. Museum Day is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian Media in which participating museums across the country open their doors for free to anyone presenting a (free) Museum Day Ticket.

New Chinese Immersion Charter School Proposed for Boston: October Information Sessions for Parents

Boston MA, September 15 – A group of civic and education leaders is proposing to open a Boston Chinese Immersion Charter School in the fall of 2011. The proposed Kindergarten through 8th grade school would educate students of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds for academic excellence and international perspective through immersion in American and Chinese culture and language.

Information sessions for any interested families will be held on Friday, October 1 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at The Boston Foundation, 75 Arlington Street in the Back Bay, and on Saturday, October 2 from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM at Hill House Community Center, 74 Joy Street on Beacon Hill.
