Summer in the City | July 9 to August 13

Don't miss this year's Summer in the City event from July 9 to August 13. Events will take place every Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm at the Codman Square Commons Park (Corner of Talbot and Washington). Family Fun Day @ Dr. Loesch Family Park | August 3 + 17

This summer, cookouts will be hosted at Dr. Loesch Family Park! The cookouts will include food from the grill, pony rides, an ice cream truck, face-painting, a DJ, games, and recreation for the whole family. Hot dogs and hamburgers are provided. The community is welcome to bring food to share (salad, fruit, side dish, dessert).

Canoe Excursion on the Neponset | July 27

Enjoy a Saturday afternoon canoe adventure with BNAN! This Neponset River paddle will take place on July 27 at 2pm. Participation is limited to experienced paddlers who can meet at Milton Landing. College Bound Dorchester is holding an open house on July 31 at 18 Samoset Street (in Dorchester) from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. College Bound welcomes all families and children who are interested in learning about early education programs. Meet the directors, teachers and other staff! Urban Arts Festival | July 27

Save Our Streets is hosting Boston's first annual Urban Arts Festival on July 27 from 12pm to 6pm. Local Boston artists and positive creative outlets for youth will be featured throughout the event. This family-friendly event at Martini Memorial Shell Park (in Hyde Park) will include children's games and activities such as tug-of-war, sack racing, dodge ball and painting. The Boston police and fire departments have also been invited to speak to the children. Further more, there will be live performances from Boston locals including the talented spoken word poet, London Bridgez. The event will also include visual artists creating canvases and other various works of art. Stories, Crafts, Films and Fun! | July 24

Starting at 10:30am on July 24, Preschool and Kindergarten children can read stories, create crafts, watch films and have fun! Kindergarten students will be able to create their own crafts and delve into stories while younger children (2 and up) watch Preschool films! Bowdoin-Geneva Community Day | July 19

Don't miss the Bowdoin Geneva Community Day on July 19. Reverand Allen Park will be hosting the event at 4pm. The community day will include a cookout with games, activities and awards. The first 300 residents will receive gifts! (Rain Date; July 20 at Noon)
