Tour de France Viewing @ Tavolo | July 18

The 100th Tour de France is underway and it has been an exciting race so far! The final week in the Alps should be just as exciting. Summer Sports Tea Dance | Aug. 25

Summer Sports Tea Dance @ dbar (236 Dorchester Ave)! Victory Programs has teamed up with dbar and FLAG Flag Football to kick off the LGBT sports season! Boston Parks Department Neighborhood Concert | July 18

Each year the Boston Parks Department hosts Neighborhood concerts throughout the city as part of Mayor Menino’s Neighborhood Performances. With support from the Pope's Hill Neighborhood Association, the city will be hosting the highly acclaimed band "Bearfight." Bearfight will play at Garvey Park on July 18 from 7pm to 8:30pm. The Freeport Tavern/Phillips Old Colony & the PHNA will be hosting a free BBQ starting at 6:30pm. Dorchester Community Food Co-op Food & Justice Mini Film Festival | July 18 + August 3

The Dorchester Community Food Co-Op is showing a film series! Come together for food, film and discussion at the first annual Dorchester Community Food Co-op Food & Justice Mini Film Festival. Soul Food Junkies will be the first film and Shift Change will be the second film. It will be shown on July 18 at 7pm in the Great Hall (6 Norfolk Street in Dorchester.) The second film will be shown on August 3 at 6pm at Savin Hill Yoga Cooperative (11 Pearl Street in Dorchester). Soul Food Junkies is a film that explores Soul Food as a culinary tradition and the emotional attachments people form with food. Shift Change is a documentary about building the co-op movement. E-Raps Music Production Company | July 20 to August 10

Know a teen who likes to rhyme or make beats? The Kroc Community Center (650 Dudley Street in Dorchester) presents E-Raps, an educational music production program. Students will learn to write bars, rap smoothly and handle sound engineering equipment. Students even get to record a CD! This program will run every Saturday  from 9am to noon (July 20 to August 10.
