June Events @ Dot 2 Dot Cafe | June 19 & 20

On June 19, Dot 2 Dot Cafe will be hosting live music featuring Alexi Paraschos and his band. If your heart is in music but life has taken you down a different path, this is your chance to come and jam with fellow musicians. Showcase your talents and be a part of a community that uses music to forge alliances. This event will begin at 7pm.

On June 20, Dot 2 Dot Cafe will be hosting a spoken word performance of 'For Colored Girls Who Consider Suicide When The Rainbow is Enuf' by Ntozake Shange. Ashmont/Peabody Square Farmers' Market | Fridays

The Ashmont/Peabody Square Farmers' Market starts on June 20th and continues every Friday until October 17. The market will go from 3pm to 7pm at the plaza of the Ashmont T Station. Out of the Park | June 22 & June 27

On June 22, the Franklin Park Coalition will host Out of the Park at 4pm on the Playstead Ballfields between the Zoo & the Stadium. This is a FREE event to watch a Red Sox game on a HUGE screen. Mascot Wally will be there along with many activities for kids and Fenway hot dogs. Bring your team, bring your family, bring your  neighbors! The Dudley Common Farmers' Market starts on June 19 from 3pm to 7pm and continues every Thursday at the Dudley Town Common (Corner of Dudley Street and Blue Hill Avenue). Neighborhood Watch | June 23

On June 23, the next Neighborhood Watch Meeting will be hosted at 1310 Dorchester Ave. The meeting will start at 6:30pm. Boston Police have said that crime has gone down since the meetings started... Peabody Square Improvement Session | June 24

In April, St. Mark's Area Main Street held a Walk Audit with Walk Boston.  Participants learned about best practices for making neighborhoods welcoming and safe for pedestrians. Then the group took a walk in and around Peabody Square to identify issues and opportunities. At the upcoming session, we will plan implementation of recommendations that arose from the Walk Audit. This session will take place at the St. Mark's Area Main Street Office (1914 Dorchester Ave) from 6:00pm to 7:30pm on June 24. Please RSVP by clicking HERE.

Food Co-op Meet & Greet | June 16

Wondering what is going on behind the scenes at the Food Co-Op? Join the Dorchester Food Co-op for a Summer Meet & Greet at Restaurante Cesaria (266 Bowdoin Street) on June 16 from 6pm to 8pm. This event will feature good company and good food. Furthermore, the Spring Membership Drive will be extended one more week. There are great raffle prizes to be won... which will be drawn at the Meet & Greet.
