Berklee Music Fest | July 21

Berklee College of Music, Boston Harbor Island Alliance and the Boston Harbor National Park join forces to bring free live music to Georges Island one Saturday per month (July 21 and August 18) from 3p to 6p. Berklee Music Fest on Georges Island is part of Berklee Summer in the City, bringing free performances by Berklee faculty, students, and alumni to neighborhoods in Boston and beyond. Landmarks Festival at the Shell 2012 | July 11

The Landmarks Festival at the Shell has established itself as Boston’s newest tradition, with audiences exceeding 60,000 people per season. The orchestra is committed to maintaining Boston’s reputation as a world-class destination. Join the orchestra at 7pm on July 11. During the summer, much of the city’s cultural activities diminish, but through the Festival at the Shell, the city maintains its position as a cultural capital and center for tourism. Rose Garden Party | June 28

Mayor Thomas M. Menino and First Lady Angela Menino host the 16th Annual Rose Garden Party in the Back Bay Fens from 5:30p to 8:00p. Prizes will be auctioned during the party. Grand prize being auctioned off at this party is a travel package valued at $5,000 offered by Jet Blue. Guests are encouraged to wear garden party attire and enter the "Hats Galore!" contest. Money raised at this event gets people outside because it pays in part for some of the 170 free programs in city parks including jazz concerts at Fort Hill, a kid's festival at Franklin Park, and a watercolor workshop at Geneva Cliffs. Boston Landmarks Orchestra Family & Friends Concert | July 15

The Boston Landmarks Orchestra Brass Ensemble  is hosting an evening of music, learning, and family fun. At 6pm on July 15th, Experience and engage in the history of brass music through an educational concert with a musical playground where concertgoers can try their hands at instruments they have always longed to play. Learn about the history of brass thanks to Johnson Strings and the Musary, who will be providing violins, violas, cellos, bassoons, clarinets, alto saxophones, flutes, trumpets, and trombones to our musical playground. Join Bowdoin Geneva Main Streets for their Inaugeral Multicultural Festival!
