Spring Fling | June 7

The Mather Elementary School is hosting the fifth annual Spring Fling event on June 7 from 11am to 2pm! This fun packed event will take place at Meeting House Hill (1 Parish Street in Dorchester). The event will include a bouncy house, a bouncy slide, an obstacle course, face painting, basketball, games, books, crafts, raffles, food, a bike rodeo (bring a bike/helmet!) and MORE! Passing the Mic | June 5

Memorial Day Mass | May 25

The 34th Annual Memorial Day Mass in memory of the deceased will be celebrated on May 25 at 11am in the Gilman Chapel (Cedar Grove Cemetary, 920 Adams Street in Dorchester). A concert of patriotic music will begin at 10:45am. Coffee and pastries will be served after the mass. All are welcome!

Field Day for Peace | May 24

Join the Boston Project Ministries for their Field Day for Peace event which takes place on May 24 from 1pm to 6pm. The event will take place at Walsh Park (967 Washington Street in Dorchester). This stand up for peace is to encourage youth to be active and promote peace within their Dorchester neighborhoods. The Talbot-Norfolk Triangle Youth Council will host an afternoon of sports and activities including, basketball, flag football, dodgeball, and other active activities. There will be prizes for every sport, free food, and a chance to meet the TNT Youth Council who put this event together!

Viet-AID Community Forum | May 27

Viet-AID's Peer Leadership Program is hosting a Community Forum on May 27 from 4:30pm to 5:45pm. The forum will take place at the Vietnamese American Community Center (42 Charles Street in Dorchester). A group of youth invite you to the community forum where peers will share their work experience, growth as individuals and a community project! Howard Art Projects Presents: National Geographic | May 23 to June 6

The Howard Art Projects (1486 Dorchester Ave) presents: National Geographic! This is a group exhibition featuring the work of Abbey Campbell, Nathaniel Grossman and Spencer Hinson.  Here, artists and art objects serve as spokespersons for nonhuman entities, at once creating and bringing into focus discrepancies between our external reality and its varied representations. While rooted in the factual, the works place emphasis on their own aestheticization, understanding it as not extraneous but necessary for their involvement within social or political frameworks. This exhibit starts on May 23rd and stays until June 6th. The opening reception will take place on May 23 from 6pm to 9pm. American Roots Music | May 26

On May 26th at 10:30am, enjoy a unique blend of classic American folk songs and whimsical sing-along tunes for children in this upbeat performance by Grammy Award nominee Alastair Moock. The Celebrate! series is for family audiences and highlights America's rich cultural diversity through the arts. All performances are free, begin at 10:30am and take place at the JFK Library. Perspectives on Parenting | May 29

The Family Today Ministry presents: Perspectives on Parenting on May 29 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Have you ever wondered... "What am I doing wrong? Am I being over protective? Dot Day Parade 10k Cocktails | May 23
