Dorchester Substance Abuse Coalition Forum | June 19

The Dorchester Substance Abuse Coalition is presenting a forum for parents and teens with several guest speakers including local men and women in recovery and Ms. Joanne Peterson from www.learn2cope.org. The forum’s goal will be to educate, help build skills and offer supportive resources to both youth and parents (parents and teens will be in separate meeting areas).

The program will be on Tuesday, June 19, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Leahy-Holloran Community Center at 1 Worrell Street, Dorchester, MA 02122. The event is held in partnership with City Councilor Frank Baker's Office.

Fields Corner CDC Annual Meeting | June 26

"Pathways to Success" Seminar at Bunker Hill | June 12

Are you an Immigrant? Do you work with the Immigrant Community? A "Pathways to Success" Seminar will be held at Bunker Hill Community College on Tuesday, June 12 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in Room C202. Sip, Sup, Sashay: Governor's Afternoon Tea at Shirley Eustis | June 15

You are invited to the third annual annual afternoon tea at the historic Shirley-Eustis House! Enjoy sweet and savory small bites, lemonade and a selection of iced teas. Eliot Square to Franklin Park Bike Ride | POSTPONED

Due to tomorrow's forecast, this ride has been postponed until late June. Stay tuned for a new date!

On Thursday, June 7, there will be a bike tour that runs from Eliot Square to Franklin Park. The event will be from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Helmets are required! Tickets will be $10, with a rain date for Friday, June 8.

MS: The Multicultural Connection | June 9

The Jubilee Christian Church, located at 1500 Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan will  be hosting an event called: "MS: The Multicultural Connection. Connect to Research, Connect to Others, Connect to Stay Well!" Explore how MS affects YOU through presentations and round table discussions. Meet others from your community and empower yourself to live well with MS every day. Free! Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Charles C. Yancey Book Fair | July 7

The 26th Annual Charles C. Yancey Book Fair will take place at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center, 1350 Tremont Street, Boston 02119, from 12 to 3 p.m. Donations of new books are welcomed!
