Healthy Strides, Codman Walks! | April 21

Starting on Saturday, April 21at 9:30AM, Healthworks Community Fitness is inviting anyone in the community to meet at 450 Washington Street in Dorchester, for a 45 minute walk to raise awareness about the importance of being active, because an active community is a healthy community!  This is a FREE event, with snacks and water being provided.  Rain date: Saturday, April 28th.

STEC Health Screening | April 14

On Saturday, April 14, Sportsmen’s Tennis & Enrichment Center, in partnership with Brigham & Women’s Hospital Cardiovascular Wellness Service, will be hosting a FREE health screening from 10am – 3 pm.
Come in for a screening, also available - a free meeting to discuss your screening results. STEC is located at 950 Blue Hill Ave (the big green building), with lots of parking and located near several bus stops.

Duo Diavolo @ 1st Parish | April 15

Community Meeting on Issues in Edward Everett Square | April 11

The Edward Everett Square Residents Committee invites you to a meeting at the William Clapp House to address the chronic vagrancy, crime, panhandling, drinking, drug use, and other obnoxious behaviors that have plagued the Square of late, its residents, and its beautiful sculpture park. Local civic associations, businesses, elected officials, and the appropriate public officials will be invited to discuss ideas for solutions to this problem.  

The meeting will take place at 7PM on April 11th at the Dorchester Historical Society (195 Boston Street, Dorchester, MA).
