Dot Open Studios 10th Anniversary | Oct. 19-21

Dorchester Open Studios is celebrating its 10th year with long weekend full of events from open galleries to live preformances. Sat. and Sun. 12-5pm. For more infomation visit Dorchester Arts Collaborative.

On Friday the 19th festivies are happening at the new Black Box Theater in Codman Square, where Boston Music Awards' "Best New Artist" Shea Rose with join eleven other singers, songwriters, dancers, and spoken word artists.  

On Saturday the 20th visit 20 sites featuring 140 visual artist all over Dorchester. including the Howard Art Project in Fields Corner and a large group of artists from UMass Boston exhibiting in Uphams Corner.

On Sunday the 21st take a hike along the Neponset River Train and enjoy water colors by Anne Schmalz. 

 

 

 

 

Info Session Lean 2 Earn | Sept. 19

For all High School Juniors and Seniors! Lean 2 Earn is a course that outlines the keys for financial success and gives participants the opportunity to get certified to prepare taxes for the 2013 tax season. Classes are held Wednesday and Thursday afternoons during the Fall.

Free Document Shredding | Sept. 29

 

In conjunction with the City of Boston's Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, September 29, 2012 between 9 am and 3 pm City of Boston Credit Union will be holding a FREE Personal Document Shredding Day. Shredding trucks will be available in the Bayside Expo Parking Lot, 200 Mount Vernon Street in Dorchester.

Visitors will be able to have up to 10 copy size paper boxes per visitor safely shredded. This service is for individuals personal documents only, please no businesses. You are not required to be a member to utilize this service
