Saturday November 30 from 1-4pm at the Codman Square Library (on 690 Washington Street) will host the Worlds AIDS Day Event 'Getting to Zero' Heroes.Where are our Heroes? How can you get to "0" (new infections, death & stigma) when prevention and education money have been slashed? We need to raise our voices and help make HIV/AIDS Education and Prevention.

Half Price at Franklin Park Zoo & Stone Zoo | November 29

Friday, November 29 Citizens Bank will sponsor half price admission day at Zoo New England’s Franklin Park Zoo and Stone Zoo.


Burn off the turkey and get the family out of the house. Admission will be half-price the day after Thanksgiving, thanks to the generous support of Citizens Bank. It’s a wonderful opportunity to spend a memorable day with family and friends while discovering all of the incredible animals at each Zoo.

John DeVito on the Kennedy Assassination | December 4

A Tribute to Mayor Menino | December 3

Tuesday December 3, Peter Meade, Director of the Boston Redevelopment Authority; Brian McGrory, Editor of The Boston Globe; and Jack Beatty, WBUR's On Point commentator, pay tribute to outgoing Boston Mayor Tom Menino.

All forums are free and open to the public. Reservations for forums are strongly recommended. They guarantee a seat in the building but not the main hall. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors to the main hall open one hour before the program begins.

Who's Tracking You Online? | December 2

Monday December 2 at 6:30pm the Lower Mills Library (27 Richmond Street) will have a program discussing online tracking.

Every mouse click, every keystroke, and every tablet or smart phone selection that we make helps data collectors paint a picture about who we are.

During this interactive presentation, Greg Page will talk about the positive, negative, and uncertain implications of the era of Big Data.  He will also discuss ways that individual web users can minimize their online footprint.

Friday, November 29 at 10:30am the Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers will share their stories of both their history and modern culture in a performance that culminates with a full audience powwow.
