Baby Massage Classes | October 11

Does your baby have gas? Does your baby have a hard time sleeping? Is your baby fussy? Friday October 11th at 2pm, the Neponset Health Center 398 Neponset Ave, Dorchester MA, will host a Baby Massage Class. These classes will be held the second Friday, every month.

Love & Limits in Early Childhood | October 16

Attention Parents and Guardians.... The Early Childhood Development Series would like to invite you to attend the Love & Limits in early childhood discussion. This will take place, October 16 from 6pm-8pm at the Boys & girls Club of Dorchester (1135 Dorchester Ave.). This group focuses on the critical area of social and emotional development and gives strategies for parents to support their child's needs in order to provide a foundation for future learning, strong relationships and psychological and emotional health.
 
Dinner and Childcare will be provided

Halloween Mask Making | October 10

Thursday, October 10th at 4pm-6pm, the Dot to Dot Café, will run a 3 week course on mask making. The classes will be the 10th, 17th, and the 24th of October. Show your creative side and be prepared for Halloween. This course is suitable for individuals 8 and over, snacks will be provided for attendees. The cost of the program is $30, Preregistration is required and should be done on or before, Oct. 10th. Registration forms are available by emailing macweeney.leslie@gmail.com, or you can stop by the Dot to Dot Café on 1739 Dorchester Avenue in Dorchester MA.

Parks and Open Space At-Large City Councilor Forum | October 15

Join Boston Park Advocates Tuesday October 15 at 7pm,to learn about the at-large city council candidates’ ideas for budgeting, maintaining, and influencing improvements for Boston Parks. Open space is vital to the fabric of our diverse neighborhoods and cannot be overlooked. 
 
There will be a reception from 7-7:30pm with dessert and coffee.

Celebrate at the JFK Library | October 14

Monday October 14 at 10:30am – 11:30am, discover the culture of Mexico with Ms. Veronica Robles and her Mariachi Band while you engage in the traditional songs and folk dances. October is the Hispanic Heritage Month come out, have fun and learn about the Mexican traditions. This event will be at the JFK Library in the Stephen E. Smith Center in Dorchester MA. Fort Independence Tours | October 13

Nature's Quiet Giants | October 12

Saturday at 11:30am – 12:00pm, surround yourself with the quiet giants in the forest (Trees). You will learn about the structure of the trees and you will have the opportunity to create your own style of tree, and cover it with bright colored leaves. Fall Bird Walk | October 11

Friday at 8:00am – 10:00am  the Boston Nature Center will give children an opportunity to observe the resident birds and fall migrants in their habitat. You will be able to view field marks, hear their sounds and learn about their behaviors. This is a guided walk, binoculars are available upon request. UCMS' 2013 Business Breakfast Annual Meeting | November 14
