Grove Hall PEACE WALK | October 9

Wednesday,  October 9, 2013 at 4pm, Project RIGHT will kick off their Peace Walk in Grove Hall. The walk will start at 320A Blue Hill Avenue. The walk will take place between Brunswick St. and Intervale St. Come out and join them for the community walk and gathering by Demanding Peace.

Quincy Corridor Public Realm Improvement Project | October 7

The City of Boston invites the community to attend the 2nd community meeting focusing on improving Quincy Street (between Blue Hill Avenue and Columbia Road). There will be presentations of the preliminary designs based of the feedback from the first community meeting in March 2013. Journaling Skills | October 8

Tuesday, October 8th, Louis D. Brown Peace Institute & The Center for Violence Prevention and Recovery will be hosting their 3rd meeting.  This meeting will focus on Journaling Skills. In this meeting you will be given time to explore your writing skills. 
 
It will be held 5:30-7pm at the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, 1452 Dorchester Avenue, 3rd Floor, Fields Corner.

Third Annual Farm Day | October 6

This family event is to join Dorchester Historical Society (195 Boston Street Dorchester, MA 02125) and the Roger Clap Innovation School to celebrate the agricultural history of Dorchester. They will have pony rides, kids activities, a scavenger hunt and an archeological activity to celebrate archeology month in Massachusetts. There will also be a bake sale and raffle items to support the Roger Clap Innovation School.

Every Thursday at 10:30am the Boston Nature Center will give children an opportunity to explore the nature around them. The children will have hands on experiences with outdoor and indoor activities. Welcome Back/Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Party | September 27

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH, 2013 • 3-8 PM, the Boston Teachers Union Hall will be having a Back to School Bash / Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Fundraiser. There will be music, dancing, & food. For 21+ there will be a cash bar. All of the proceeds collected will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Community Meeting | September 26
