Dorchester Youth Hockey’s Annual Golf Tournament | October 4th

Dorchester Youth Hockey will be hosting their Annual Golf Tournament. Friday, October 4th at 1:00PM at the Ponkapoag Golf Course (2167 Washington Street Canton, MA 02021).

The cost is $125 per player and includes dinner and a shirt.
Hole Sponsors also needed!!! Cost is $125. Sponsorship of a hole will include your name or the name of your business on a flag, which you will receive following the tournament. Your sponsorship will also be acknowledged on the DYH website.

Hooting about Owls | September 21

Saturday September 21, join Mass Audubon at 10am to Hoot about Owls. Be creative and make your own owl. Using a paper bag, feathers, and construction paper, help your owl HOOT. Hike the trails, look for owls and learn how they survive. A fun time with the family and being creative with the wild. Price for adults is free.  Child non-members $7 , child members $5. Rockin with Raptors | September 28

Come join Mass Audubon celebrate their 11th anniversary of the George Robert Environmental Conservation Center. The festivities will beheld Saturday, September 28, between 1pm- 4 pm. This is a free event and it is open to the public. Event will include:

You Can Pickle That?! | October 19

Saturday, October 19 at 9 am the Nightingale Community Garden (512 Park Street, Dorchester) will offer a free cooking class on how to "pickle" your harvest and preserve vegetable throughout the cold winter months.

Monday, September 30th at 6:30pm. The Fields Corner Community Action  Network will hold their FIRST Fields Corner Neighborhood Council Meeting. The meeting will take place at St. Ambrose Family Shelter on 25 Leonard Street in Dorcherster, MA 02122 (entrance will be on Dickens Street). The meeting is open to public.

Open Streets Open World | September 29

Walk, Bike and/or Dance along with Circle the City as they celebrate their 2ND Annual Open Streets Open World on Blue Hill Avenue.

This event will be taking the streets and turning them into a path of excitement.  There will be safe bike trails, games, live music and more. Open streets, Open world is free to the public, and is family orientated. Sunday, September 29th, the festivities will begin at 1PM on Dudley Street. Feel free to take your time and engage with your community while being active.
