Police plan Flashlight Walk in Area C-11 | Jul.19

Captain Tim Connolly, Area C-11 Commander, invites residents in Dorchester to join him and Police Commissioner Evans on an annual Summer Flashlight Walk on Tuesday.

When: July, 19 at 7:30

Where: The walk leaves from the Marshall School, at 35 Westville St. in Dorchester

Join your neighbors and Boston Police officers for coffee an conversation. No agenda, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood!

Just in time for swimsuit season! In this riotous contemplation, Ensler, author of the international sensation The Vagina Monologues and the best-selling memoir In the Body of the World, examines the complex relationship between women’s minds and bodies as they struggle to fit into society’s narrow definition of beauty. Using the voices of women from across a variety of cultures and ages, the playwright encourages each of us to love ourselves and embrace our own "good body.”

New England Aquarium: Sharks | Jul. 27

In this program, participants handle real shark jaws and skin, identify the biggest and smallest sharks, and learn about the many special adaptations that make sharks efficient predators. For ages 3 and up.

Cory Johnson Trauma Education Program "Can we talk?" Monthly Meeting

This is for everyone who is struggling with loss, trauma, and/or grief. Program offers a safe space and connection within community. There is no charge and begins with dinner. There is NO requirement to share, but if someone chooses to share, they can speak for 3-5 minutes. Program also includes artistic expression throughout the evening with music and dance.
