End of Summer Reading Party | Aug. 9

 The 2016 Summer Reading Program, On Your Mark, Get Set...Read, ends Tuesday, August 9th. They will celebrate with food, fun, and animals! The Creature Teachers will educate and entertain with a variety of animals. Light refreshments will be provided.

Songs with Judy Pancoast | August. 9

Grammy nominee Judy Pancoast contributes to the summer reading theme "Ready, Set, Read!" with a rousing dance party designed to get the kids' hearts pumping and their toes tapping. Be sure to eat a good breakfast, cause there's 45-minutes of twisting, surfing, swimming in Jello and more with Judy's high-energy program!

Inaugural Dorchester Bike & Brew Fest | Sept. 15

An intro event to the City of Boston's Hub on Wheels weekend. This family friendly community festival will be showcasing the growing cycling community in Dorchester and offering the opportunity to sample beers from several local brewers, along with food trucks, live music, workshops, raffles, etc.

Yard and Bake Sale | Aug. 27

"Helping others to find a New Way to help those in need"

Baked good and used or unwanted household goods or personal items. All are invited to attend and participate!

If you are interested in particiapting and need renting table space, please contact me by email only. Rental is $25.00 if you bring your own table, if you need one of the library’s table it is $35.00. We do not have space for large items, however you can bring pictures of these items to show and make other arrangements to sell them.

 Kicking the day off with our Walk/Run, The Road To Wellness offers a day of fun and fitness that promises to inspire your mind, body and spirit. It’s a day to celebrate our community’s rich historic roots while taking advantage of some great health and fitness resources, music and community activities.

In partnership with HoodFit and the B.A.A., the event will get you active and excited about your own journey on the road to wellness!

Registration begins at 7 a.m. Walk/Run starts at 9 a.m.
