Together We Stand: Public Safety Meeting Part II | Aug. 15

Let your voice be heard as we connect neighbors to join the fight and Stand Together

We’ll talk about how our families, homes, and community shaped our sense of safety. Join community activist from TNT United/ Boston Project Ministries, community service officers from the Boston Police Department, and more. We also want to hear from you: What does public safety mean to you? How do we make Codman Sq & Four Corners safer?

No boring presentation, only story telling and open dialogue! Free food and music too!

Children's Festival and Community Day | Aug. 13

Bring your children to Second Church's Annual Festival! The event will be right in front of Dorchester Second Church in Codman Square. 

Cookout, Animals, Games, Bouncy House, Waterslide, open air compaigns and more! You don't want to miss it!

7th Annual Community Health Fair | Aug. 6

There will be food, clothing, arts and crafts, toiletries, raffle face painting, toys and more. First 100 kids on site will receive a bookbag plus school supplies!

FREE Clinics: Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar Screenings, Health Insurance, Brochures and more!

15th Annual National Night Out 2016 | Aug. 5

Join Orchard Park in celebrating their 15 Annual National Night Out Event! 

Event includes, food, moon bounces, face painting, arts and crafts, games and prizes, and entertainment all for FREE!

The first 200 young participants will recieve a bandanna to tie dye!

ParkARTS Boston Children’s Festival | Aug. 23

Children and families from throughout Boston have the opportunity to participate in a variety of free activities from various exhibitors including Cambridge Science on the Street, a show by Rosalita’s Puppets, ParkARTS arts and crafts, the Bubble Guy, ReadBoston Storymobile, Mass Hort, Boston Children’s Museum, New England Aquarium, and more.  

The August 23 event will also include book giveaways from the ReadBoston Storymobile, exploring a Boston Fire Department fire truck, identification kits from the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, a visit from the Boston Park Rangers Mounted Unit, face painting, dance performances, and free treats and giveaways from HP Hood LLC, Polar Beverages, the movie “Storks,” and Magic 106.7.

Fair Foods is a non-profit food rescue organization dedicated to providing surplus goods at low or no cost to those in need. They will be selling $2 bags of delicious fruits and vegetables at Franklin Field inside the Franklin Field Senior Center!

Mattapan Patriots Fundraising Event: Roller Skating Party | Aug. 12

An afternoon full of roller skating!

Back To School Celebration | Aug. 23

This is a great opportunity for the children to receive backpacks with school supplies, visit the TD Garden, and have fun participating in the festivities. This event is for Boston residents only and kids need to be between the ages of 5-17. You will also need to bring a valid government issued ID (license, passport, etc.), birth certificate or school record of each child age 5-17 and current utility bill for proof of address
 Pre registration is required.

Parents of Purpose Support Group

 Learn how to access resources, gain skills and tools and build lasting relationships with other parents, this event is for those who feel overwhelmed. For all parents/guardians raising children with developmental disabilities, and academic challenges.
