Healthworks Community Fitness Summer FitKids Program | July 2017

Healthworks Community Fitness is launching the first FitKids Summer Program in Boston!   This fitness-oriented summer program targets school-aged children and runs 5 days per week for 6 weeks. The program focuses on physical activity, nutrition education in our new Community Teaching Kitchen, wellness, arts and crafts, and sports-specific activities.   

 

When:

Wednesday July 5th through Friday, August 18th

Time: 8:00am – 5:00pm (Full Day)

Days: Monday through Friday

$180 per week

The Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series | June 3 - August 31, 2017

"The Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series kicks off its 2017 season on June 3, offering a whopping 26 free classes each and every week, in neighborhoods all over the city—especially those traditionally underserved by health resources. The series continues all summer long, wrapping up on August 31."

Boston Alliance for Young Children's Social Emotional Wellness | May 2017

The Boston Alliance for Young Children's Social Emotional Wellness (BAYCSEW) is an open group, bringing together family members, professionals, and community partners, who support the social-emotional wellbeing of children, birth through age 8.  We meet the first Friday of each month. BPL Concert with Matt Heaton | April 21, 2017

3D Art Class for Youth | April 25, 2017, 4 – 5pm

The Eliot School’s 3D arts program teaches students the process of sketching and making models to clarify their ideas and turn them into 3-dimensional sculptures. Students use a variety of materials such as air-dry clay, paper maché, construction paper, and recycled materials. Projects may include masks and abstract sculpture. This program will run for 7 weeks and has limited seating. For children ages 7-12.

Fields Corner Book Sale | April 8, 2017

The Fields Corner library is having a open-public book sale where we will be selling thousands of different types of books, magazines, audio CDs, DVDs, and video tapes. All the profits will go towards developing new and current library programs in the city of Boston.
