Resumes That Work! Resume Writing Workshop, Feb 9

Join George Zeller, Senior Employment Specialist at JVS to learn about creating successful resumes. A resume has only one purpose: to get you an interview! This workshop offers strategies to highlight your career objective, skills and experience, and to present you in the most positive and marketable way. Learn the difference between a good resume and a great resume and improve your chances of getting an interview. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and leave with new tips for creating a winning resume. This program is sponsored by the Fields Corner Branch and the Kirstein Business Library of the Boston Public Library with funds provided by the Highland Street Foundation.

FASCINATIN' RHYTHMS interactive drum and dance workshop - FEBRUARY 11TH, 2009 AT 3:30 P.M.

Children and families of all ages are invited to a participatory program of music and dance drawn from the cultures of Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

SpectrumBoston -- The education department of the Citi Performing Arts Center and the Boston Public Library offer youth-led theatre workshops. The workshops will be based on themes from the musicals Ain’t Misbehavin’ and The Color Purple. Appropriate for ages 9-adult. Please call 617-436-2155 to register.

Songs for Children at Fields Corner Library

There will be a sing-a-long program for young children on Wednesday, January 7th, at 10:30 a.m. Presented by Morton Hyams. For more information, please call the library at 617-436-2155. Free and open to the public.


Children in grades 2-up are invited to a Saturday Drop-In Science program. Each week we'll build and test a cool science experiment-and when we're done you can take it home with you! Final two weeks are Saturday December 6th and 13th from 11-1 pm. Free and open to the public.

HOLIDAY WREATH MAKING WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS AND OLDER TEENS-DECEMBER 9TH FROM 5-7 P.M. -Create a professional quality holiday wreath wit Tiny's Flowers, Advance registration is required and free supplies are included.
