Potluck Fundrasing Dinner to Benefit AFAB, Feb 16

You are invited to attend a Potluck Dinner to raise money for the Association for Haitian Women (AFAB). The dinner will be at The Great Hall (6 Norfolk St, Codman Square, Dorchester) this Tuesday, February 16 from 6:30PM to 8:00PM.

Members of Dorchester People for Peace (DPP) are deeply saddened by the tragedies unfolding in Haiti. They are also aware that friends and neighbors among the Haitian diaspora in Dorchester are reeling from the shock.

Boston has the third largest Haitian community in the country, with Dorchester having the highest numbers. The Boston community is facing grief and loss with many family members dead, and they are already preparing for the large influx of Haitians expected to arrive who will need housing, employment, post-disaster relief and support. Their partner organization in Dorchester, Association for Haitian Women, (AFAB) is already providing much needed trauma counseling, advocacy and practical services. >> Read More
