Hours of operation (or meeting times & dates): 

The drop in membership program at Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester (BGCD) is open to all children between the ages of 7 – 18. Each day Monday-Friday from 2:00-6:00pm members will participate in activities based on a rotation schedule. All Members under the age of 12 not participating in a specialized program from 6-8pm are required to depart the Club at 6:00pm. Teen Programming will run until 8:30pm, all teens must depart by 9pm.

 

The Bantam Program serves members ages five and six. Members are grouped according to age and will travel to each area with designated staff members. Bantams will meet each afternoon at the McLaughlin site and participate in developmentally appropriate programming. The cost is $50 per session ($150 per year) and registration is limited to 50 children.

How to get involved/application guidelines and procedures: 

Membership in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester (BGCD) is open to all children between the ages of 5 and 18. Members must be five by September 1st. BGCD has an "open door" policy. Members are well supervised while in the program areas, but may come and go as they please. The membership fee for all ages is just $5.00 per year, or $10.00 per year for immediate family members registering at the same time. All members must furnish proof of age when signing up. Orientation After registering, members must attend a member's orientation. Parents are encouraged to attend as well. Registration for summer programming begins in March and is offered on first-come-first-served basis (cost varies by year).
