The High Notes of Jazz Roxbury: Women in Jazz | March 14

Join Discover Roxbury with co-presenters Haley House Bakery Cafe and Jazz Boston on March 14 from 7PM to 9PM, to share the herstories of women in jazz! Northeastern University scholar Dr. Emmet Price leads the discussion and will share contributions of several women involved with jazz since its inception, but not as well-known or trumpeted, so to speak, as their male jazz counterparts. Come early, grab a seat, order dinner, and be prepared to partake in the fifth and final discussion in the speaker series focusing on the impact and role of women jazz musicians during the era ending "Jim Crow" segregation and rising civil rights activism.
