Boston City Singers Annual Winter Stars Holiday Concerts

Celebrate the season with Boston City Singers as they perform their annual Winter Stars Holiday Concerts on Saturday, December 15, in Jamaica Plain, and Sunday, December 16, in Dorchester.

The Jamaica Plain concert will be held at 11:00 a.m., December 15, at Hope Central Church, 85 Seaverns Ave., and will showcase the singing talents of children aged 4 to 11 from the organization’s Jamaica Plain and Dorchester Kodaly and Training Choruses.

The Dorchester concert will take place at 3:00 p.m., December 16, at St. Ann Church, 243 Neponset Ave., and feature performances by Boston City Singers Carolers, Cantare, Harmony and Tour Choir, along with a performance by the Saint John Paul Catholic II Academy String Ensemble.

Admission is free. Free-will donations to Boston City Singers’ Scholarship Fund are be accepted at the door.                                                                                          

Founded in 1995, Boston City Singers is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing exceptional music education and youth development programming to children aged four through high school, regardless of financial need, in the Greater Boston area. The organization’s programs in Dorchester, Jamaica Plain and Cambridge serve nearly 500 children from urban neighborhoods, including Mattapan, Roxbury, Hyde Park and Roslindale, and nearby suburbs such as Milton, Quincy, Dedham, Newton, Somerville and Arlington. In addition to extensive music instruction and performance experience, Boston City Singers also offers leadership training and academic support. Since 1995, 100% of graduating seniors have been accepted to four-year college programs.
