Cedar Grove Civic Association Meeting | March 13 2012
The March 2012 Cedar Grove Civic Association Meeting had an attendance of about 25, and was held in Father Lane Hall of St. Brendan's Church. The meeting began with a report from C-11, concerning recent crime in Cedar Grove and things to look out for. Suffolk County Register of Deeds Mickey Roache updated the community on changes in the Homestead Act. For more information about the Homestead Act, and applications, please click here. Jim Mansfield of the Boston Transportation Department discussed the implications of the new "Do Not Enter" signs on St. Brendan Road. From 7:30 to 8:15, drivers will not be able to take a left onto St. Brendan Road from Milton St. due to the fact that school is in session. Robert Genduso, president of the Leahy Holloran Community Center, spoke thankfully and proudly about the work the community has put into the center over the last 4 years, and new programs that it offers. He hopes the center continues to expand - and wholeheartedly invites the community to participate!
