The Clam Point Civic Association's April monthly meeting was held at Work Inc. The meetings are slated to be held at Work Inc. until further notice. The meeting began with a discussion of recent crime in the neighborhood. The discussion of crime led to a discussion of the trends of prostitution in the neighborhood, and the ways to stop it. Ideas include lights, cameras, and more police interference. The Association held a discussion concerning funds for the neighborhood beautification committee. The committee voted to spend $200 to fill planters in Byrne park. Repeat Boutique, a store in the Pope's Hill Neighborhood gave a presentation of what the store offers. Repeat Boutique sells mostly women's clothing, housewares, and small furniture at considerably lower prices than a first hand store. The shop will accept your used items as well! Visit their website for more information. Frank Baker reminded the association of the Dorchester Cultural District Committee meeting, happening today at Carney Hospital.
