An Apron Full of Beans with Sam Cornish, Feb. 29
Boston Poet Laureate Sam Cornish and Roxbury Repertory Theater are teaming up to give an exciting and unique performance piece from selected poems and prose! The material, gathered from his collection 'An Apron Full of Beans,' the Company sets Cornish’s eloquent, witty, and thought-provoking words to movement and music. The poetry touches on voices past and addresses the poet’s thoughts on family, race, music, and civil rights among other topics. There will be three performances in three different venues in the Boston area. The free performances will premiere at noon on Feb. 28 at Boston Latin Academy, a show at 7:00 p.m. on Feb. 29 at Roxbury Community College's Mainstage Theatre, and a third run on March 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the Rabb Hall at the Central Branch of the Boston Public Library in Copley Square. The performances are free of charge and sponsored in part by The Friends of the Arts at Roxbury Community College.
