On Saturday, October 8th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Talbot Norfolk Triangle will be hosting Neighborhood Service Day at 106 Norfolk Street, a community garden in-progress. Everyone is welcome, and lunch will be provided! Work will include: finishing construction of the raised beds, spreading mulch in the paths, planting trees. Neighbors and youth are busy transforming this old house lot into a new community garden where children are able to learn about gardening. Construction began summer 2011 and will be completed in 2012. Plots will be available to grow fresh, local produce. One half of the plots are to be used by children and youth programs.
