Watercolor for Older Adults | Feb 4

Artist Susan Krause will lead an 8-week course on drawing, watercolor, and creative problem solving for seniors . This program is generously sponsored by the Saquish Foundation through the Boston Public Library.

Tai Chi for Seniors at Uphams Corner Library | Feb 27 - March 27

The Uphams Corner Branch will be hosting the first of Tai Chi QuiGong classes for community members ages 55 and older. This program is sponsored by the Squamish Foundation through the Boston Public Library Foundation. The event will run from February 20th through March 7th in the Rotunda Room, which is accessible through the outside ramp that Uphams Corner Library shares with WIC.

Mass Senior Action Council Meeting | July 12

Massachusetts Senior Action Council (MSAC) is a thriving membership organization which joins together low and moderate income seniors and people with disabilities from throughout Massachusetts, along with people of all ages who support our mission. Seniors' Luncheon on Community Health and Safety April 17

Dorchester House Multi-Service Center will be hosting the first ever Seniors' Luncheon, which will include an informative discussion about community safety and health. Speakers will include a representative from Police Station Area C-11, as well as a Dot House provider. The event, taking place from 11:00a.m. to 12:30p.m., is free, and lunch will be served! It will take place in the multi-purpose room of Dorchester House. Dorchester House is located at 1353 Dorchester Avenue. Dorchester NSC Discussion Sep. 29

ABCD/Dorchester Neighborhood Service Center will be hosting a meeting on September 29 at 10:00 a.m. for a discussion on senior wellness and financial health. Learn strategies to manage your health conditions, eat a healthier diet and prevent falls. Dorchester Neighborhood Senior Center provides free programs, such as benefits access, housing, and healthy eating. The Dorchester NSC is located at 110 Claybourne St. in Dorchester.

Are you 60 years of age or older? Feel the need to get active, do something worthwhile?  Every second Thursday from 9:30am-12pmthere will be a cooking class in Conference room A. The class is meant for Codman residents ages 50+ and is a great way to learn to cook a healthy meal, meet a neighbor, and discuss healthy eating and exercise behaviors! All ingredients are supplied, and the class is free of charge. For more information, those interested can call at 617-822-8224.
