Parks and Open Space At-Large City Councilor Forum | October 15

Join Boston Park Advocates Tuesday October 15 at 7pm,to learn about the at-large city council candidates’ ideas for budgeting, maintaining, and influencing improvements for Boston Parks. Open space is vital to the fabric of our diverse neighborhoods and cannot be overlooked. 
 
There will be a reception from 7-7:30pm with dessert and coffee.

Discount Days in the Square | October 5

SATURDAY FROM 10AM-3PM - Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation (CSNDC) and the local businesses will have for the first time, "Discount Days in the Square" event. Exploring Italian Culture and Its Hidden Treasures | October 5

Grove Hall PEACE WALK | October 9

Wednesday,  October 9, 2013 at 4pm, Project RIGHT will kick off their Peace Walk in Grove Hall. The walk will start at 320A Blue Hill Avenue. The walk will take place between Brunswick St. and Intervale St. Come out and join them for the community walk and gathering by Demanding Peace.

Quincy Corridor Public Realm Improvement Project | October 7

The City of Boston invites the community to attend the 2nd community meeting focusing on improving Quincy Street (between Blue Hill Avenue and Columbia Road). There will be presentations of the preliminary designs based of the feedback from the first community meeting in March 2013. Peabody Slope Annual Yard Sale | October 5

Peabody Slope Neighborhood Association is having their first annual Yard Sale this Saturday October 5 between the hours of 9am - 3pm. (Raindate October 6). This event will be located on the corner of Mercier Avenue and Dorchester Avenue. Come out and see what tresaures can you find.

Open Mic Night | September 27

Friday September 27 – Open Mic Night, Doors open at 6pm. This Open Mic will be hosted by the Boston School of Music Arts. 
 
The school, launched in 2010, is located in the Lower Mills and provides professional-quality music education to adults and children of all ages and levels. With over 200 student families, studying everything from voice, piano, guitar , drums, saxophone just to name a few.
 
 Everyone is welcome to perform. Dot 2 Dot Cafe would like you to support them  by purchasing something from their dinner menu (minimum spend $10 for adults, $7 children up to 12 years).
