Mildred Avenue Community Center opened adjacent to the Mildred Avenue Elementary School on November 17, 2003. The community center is a state-of-the-art facility that includes a gym, an exercise studio/weight room, large locker rooms, classrooms, a dance studio, community rooms, a computer center, a senior center with kitchenette, a 250-yard competition-sized swimming pool with balcony seating, a staged auditorium and a dedicated space that is fully wired to support a recording studio.
Youth In Crisis invites the community to come get your 'hoops and scoops' on Saturday, July 16th. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mildred Community Center the 6th Annual Food For Thought Cookout will feature free food, ice cream, basketball games and trophies on the court. All are welcome to this summer event for the whole family. Stop by for a day of fun filled activities!
