Wake Up The Earth Parade | May 3

On Saturday, May 3 the Wake Up The Earth Festival will take place. This event was started by Spontaneous Celebration in 1979 and brings together Jamaica Plain, Roxbury, and other areas of Boston in an annual celebration of diversity, the arrival of spring, music and culture, popular theatre, the visual arts, and more. The Parade is a commemoration of the success these communities had in opposing the construction of 1-95 along the route known as the Southwest Corridor. >> Read More

Jazz Under Glass | June 9

 

Don't miss Jazz Under Glass from 6pm to 8pm on June 9 in the Dudley Greenhouse. The Dudley Greenhouse is a community greenhouse in the Dudley neighborhood of Roxbury. It is located at 11 Brook Ave. This is a great opportunity for a night filled of fun, food and music. The cost is $25 per person (free for children under 12) which includes complimentary food from neighborhood chefs. Common Thread Dudley Square presents the Wake Up the Earth Parade! The festival and parade will take place on May 4 (raindate: May 5) at 11:20am (begin assembling at 10:30am). The parade will start from Edward O. Gourdin Veterens Park. Dudley Square is calling all community partners to come and bring the noise! Do you have issues you want to bring to the streets? March! Wrappin Down Dudley | Dec. 15

The Dudley Branch Library (65 Warren Street, Roxbury) is hosting Wrappin' Down Dudley, a holiday event. The event will go from 2pm to 5pm and welcomes all ages! Wrappin' Down Dudley will include activities such as poetry reading by Books of Hope and ornament making! Light refreshments will be provided as well. Don't forget to bring food to donate to the local food bank.

Dudley Greenhouse Fall Festival & Market | Nov. 20

The Dudley Green Greenhouse invites you to a family fun event on November 20, 2012 from 4 to 7pm with a chance to buy fresh and healthy food at a wonderful fall harvest that is inviting to families and children.

Supporting local food production to grow the community, the Dudley Greenhouse will be celebrating:

  • The Fall
  • Thanksgiving
  • The end of the harvest season

There will be vegetables to purchase, activities for children and the Mei Mei Street Kitchen Food Truck.
