Bowdoin-Geneva Community Day will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Reverand Allen Park in Dorchester across St. Peter’s Church from 12 to 4 p.m. (rain date, August 14, 2011). The community day features ample entertainment, free food (hamburger, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream) and fun. Boston Police K-9 dogs will be present, as will a fire truck, face painters and more. There will also be resources there for the community. This event is open to the whole Dorchester Community, for all ages, young and old. This event is being put on by Bowdoin/Geneva Violence Intervention Program, along with St. Peter’s Teen Center and St. Peter’s Parish.
