Trivia Night | March 30

The Friends of the Lower Mills Branch of the Boston Public Library and Ester present Trivia Night. Come help support the Lower Mills Branch Library to continue their learning opportunities and events for children and adults.

Who Was Oliver Optic? | April 2

Rediscover the lost works of Dorchester resident “Oliver Optic,” a.k.a. William T. Adams. In this hour-long talk, author Peter Walther will discuss Adams, a dearly beloved writer of popular juvenile during the latter half of the nineteenth century and the author of 126 books and over 1,000 stories. 

A practicing musician, Peter Walther is a member of the prestigious American Antiquarian Society and belongs to both the Elgar and the Donizetti Societies in England. He is also a reviewer for the North American Jules Verne Society.

This event is co-hosted by the Dorchester Historical Society.

The Boston Ballet’s Department of Education & Community Initiatives is thrilled to present the 7th annual performance of Boston Ballet at the Strand Theater!

Boston Ballet’s annual performance features an exciting repertoire that includes selections from their season and original works performed by Boston Ballet’s company, Boston Ballet II, Boston Ballet School, and students in the Department of Education and Community Initiatives.

Join RTN and the Dorchester Lower Mills Community for the Dorchester Park Easter Egg Hunt. Get your picture with the Easter bunny!

RTN Staff will take your photo with the Easter bunny when the egg hunt is over. Look for their table near the tennis courts.

Coping with Early Memory Loss | March 28

The workshop is for those recently diagnosed with memory loss, their families and friends. It’s designed to help participants better understand diagnoses of mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, frontal-temporal dementia and related disorders. The discussion will cover resources and medical and non-medical treatments for those with memory loss. To register or for more information call 800.272.3900.

Savin Hill Little Kids Easter Egg Hunt | March 19

Savin Hill Little Kids Easter Egg Hunt. An event for children 5 and under (siblings welcome). Special Guests...The Easter Bunny! The Bubble Guy! Baby Farm Animals!

When: Saturday, March 19 at 2:45 pm, Hunt starts at 3 pm.

Where: Savin Hill Park, Grampian Way, Dorchester MA 02125 , Gather in the tennis courts. 

**They are relying on donations, they cannot ensure peanut/tree nut free candy. If you are a parent to an allergy kid, please bring a few small pieces of candy to supplement. The Easter eggs (1500!) will be filled with stickers and different types of small candy.**
