Nightingale gardeners invite everyone to join and enjoy the bounty of Dorchester's largest community garden! Bring your appetite - the focus of this event is delicious dishes inspired by this season's bounty. This is a great opportunity to find out more about what is going on in Dorchester's community gardens, how to get involved, and what community gardens do for the community! Drying & Using Herbs from the Garden (CHANGED), Sep. 10

Workshop CHANGED. A pinch of fresh garden herbs can add spice, aroma, and health to your favorite meals, medicinal teas, and even your home. Learn how to harness the benefits of some common herbs you've grown to love. Meet at Nightingale Community Garden, 512 Park St., Dorchester. This free event, open to the public, is organized by the Boston Natural Areas Network (BNAN). Food Coop Potluck Get-Together, Aug. 25

Collaborate for food access; cooperate for community. The Dorchester Community Food Co-op will hold a Pot Luck Dinner and general get together at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 25 at the Nightingale Community Garden—recently renovated by the Boston Natural Area Network near the corner of Park St. and Washington St. in Dorchester. The garden is alive with activity, and is a model for creating a space that brings together the full diversity of Dorchester residents. Please come and bring friends and neighbors who are interested in a Food Co-op in Dorchester!
