Etiquette of Step | April 27

 

Save Our Streets-Boston, Inc (SOS), in conjunction with Boston Centers for Youth & Families, will host their first annual step showcase, Etiquette of Step, at the Madison Park Community Center. The show will begin at 2pm and it will act as one of many ways the city will heal itself and recover. Roughly eight teams, ranging between churches, community groups, high schools and colleges, will entertain and help heal their family, friends and local community with their talents. Summer Sports Health and Safety Day at Madison Park | June 30

Summer sports health and safety day, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at BCYF’s Recreation Center at Madison Park, 55 Malcolm X Boulevard in Roxbury includes a series of workshops and trainings on how to stay healthy and safe during the upcoming summer months. Youth Visions Oct. 19

Youth Visions, an exhibition of original artwork celebrating themes of identity and community, will be happening on October 19th at Hibernian Hall, 184 Dudley Street in Roxbury. The event is a great opportunity to see original artwork created by young people from Roxbury and beyond! Check out multimedia stories created by teens, original furniture art in MPDC's Summer Employment Program, and visual art by children in the Ellis Memorial After-School Program in Madison Park Village.

 

The event is FREE and open to all. Refreshments will be served, and you have the opportunity to meet the artists as well!
