'White Like Me" | Oct 14

Dorchester People for Peace invites you to a movie on white privilege and discussion on the documentary, 'White Like Me' by Tim Wise, Anti-Racist Educator. 

 

Join them for a dialogue on race and white privilege in response to the Black Lives Matter movement. Hearty refreshments will be served.

KidsFest | March 15

BEFF presents KidsFest at the Adams Street Library located at 690 Adams Street, Dorchester,Saturday, March 15 from 11am - 12:30pm. This event is suitable for children five and up. Come see funny and beautiful animations for kids. One hour of short films about our planet followed by a hands-on, take-home activity. Although registration is not required, there are limited seats for this free event. Children that will be participating must be accompanied by an adult.

Celebrate Mexico with Veronica Robles | December 11

Celebrate Mexico with Veronica Robles, Wednesday, December 11, 2013, 3 – 4pm at the Adams Street Branch of the Boston Public Library, (690 Adams Street Dorchester)
 
Veronica Robles is a performer widely recognized as the most authentic representative of Mexican music and culture in New England. Known affectionately by fans as La Mera, Mera (The Real One), Veronica Robles will present a workshop for children to experience the Mexican culture through traditional dance, song and costume. For children ages 6 and up.
