Homemade Bath Products for Mom | May 5

Mom deserves to be pampered. Homemade bath products are an inexpensive and luxurious gift. They will discuss what is used in homemade bath products and the benefits of each ingredient.  Participants will learn how to make bath salts, milk bath, and bath oil. They will leave with a nice gift for mom or themselves. This program is geared for ages 10 and up. Preregistration is encouraged.

Join us for the Mother's Day Walk for Peace on Sunday, May 12, 2013!

30 volunteers are needed for the Mother's Day Walk 4 Peace!  Please email events@ldbpeaceinstitute.org, if you can help.

The Mother's Day Walk for Peace began in 1996 for families who had lost their children to violence. On a day that we celebrate mothers and children, the Walk became a place for families and friends to feel support and love with thousands of others who pledge their commitment to peace. Through the years, it has become a way for thousands of people to financially support the work of the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute.

16th Annual Mother's Day Walk for Peace May 13

The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute will be holding their 16th Annual Mother's Day Walk for Peace on Sunday, May 13. The 3.6 mile walk is open to all and is the Peace Institute's signature fundraising event - support comes from pledges to walkers, general donations, and corporate sponsorships. Walk on your own or as part of a team to honor or remember a loved one. Registration will be open at 7:00am with the walk starting from Town Field in Fields Corner shortly after 8:30am.   >> Read More
