The Boston Public Health Commission along with the Boston Public Parks & Recreation Department and Safe Kids Worldwide are putting on a Free Sports Safety Clinic at Franklin Park (1 Circuit Drive, Dorchester, MA) on the 24th of April from 6:30PM to 8:00PM. This event, aimed towards parents and coaches, will have panelists present to share tips on sports safety and concussions. Participants will have an opportunity to learn how to properly wear and fit spring sport helmets, watch an Impact neurological baseline assessment demonstration, and try concussion goggles that simulate what it’s like to have a concussion.
Mouth guards will be given to the first 50 registrants and dinner will be provided! There will also be great raffle giveaways. Those interested in joining can RSVP at 617-534-5197.
