The Theater Offensive seeks audiences for the River See Experiment with guest artist Sharon Bridgforth:
 
Saturday, January 26: 3 – 4 PM
Sunday, January 27: 3 – 4 PM

 
River See, Sharon Bridgforth's work in progress,  looks at migration through the stories of Black queers who moved from the rural south to northern urban neighborhoods like Roxbury. On Jan 26-27, performing artists from Roxbury, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, the South End, and beyond will gather for workshops with Sharon to continue the development of this work. Join the Theater Offensive at 3pm on Saturday or Sunday at United South End Settlements to witness this work in action!

The Theater Offensive’s mission is to form and present the diverse realities of queer lives in art so bold it breaks through personal isolation and political orthodoxy to help build an honest, progressive community.

PHILOSOPHY

Our work provokes vibrant discussion about the realities of being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. Through social gatherings, soirees, workshops, and post-show discussions, the organization transcends traditional theater boundaries and opens new avenues of understanding, awareness and inclusion within queer communities as well as outside of them.
