This program, part of the Social Justice and Civil Rights Community Discussion Series, will engage the community on current issues of racism and violence in communities of color through art, music, film, literature, and discussion sessions led by community activists and organizations addressing these issues.

At this event, we will screen the film Fruitvale Station. The screening will be followed by a moderated discussion.

Use Your Voice: Learning about Our Vietnamese American Identity | December 7

Saturday, December 7th, 12:30-4pm at the Vietnamese American Community Center/Viet-AID, 42 Charles Street, Fields Corner
 
Use Your Voice will include lunch, a movie screening, and community action. We will provide lunch, watch a movie about a Vietnamese American community finding its voice, discuss Vietnamese American identity, learn about the Bilingual Ballots campaign, and take action through door knocking. We hope to see you there for any/all parts of the event! Lunch will be served from 12:30-1, the movie will be shown from 1-2, the discussion from 2-2:30, and the community action from 2:30-4.
