On Thursday, May 1 the Boston Public Library will host the Lowell Lecture Series. This event will take place at the Rabb Lecture Hall located at the Boston Public Library at 700 Boylston Street beginning at 6 pm.
Maria Tatar will be the guest speaker of the evening. She is the John L. Loeb Professor of Germanic Languages and Literature at Harvard University where she chairs the Program in Folklore and Mythology. Maria is the author of Classic Fairy Tales, The Annotated Brothers Grimm, The Annotated Peter Pan, and Enchanted Hunters: The Power of Stories in Childhood. She is also a frequent contributor to The New Yorker and The New York Times. Maria is currently working on a volume of African American folktales.
