Reimagine Play – On the MOVE – Kids Fitness Program

On the MOVE is a fitness bootcamp for kids ages 5-12 of all fitness levels. The program incorporates fun obstacles courses, agility drills, strength training and body-weight movements to get kids active and strong during the Spring season. 
This Bootcamp: 
  • Teaches fundamental fitness skills and healthy eating habits for optimal performance in sports and other physical activities
  • Improves strength and endurance, while also helping kids develop perseverance, self-esteem and confidence
  • Introduces kids to a variety of active play activities, obstacle courses, and team based games
  • Is led by certified instructors that foster a positive environment and encourage kids to lead a healthy lifestyle

Zumba, Every Tuesday night from 7:30pm to 8:15pm at  The Intersection Church (500 Talbot Ave Dorchester),  entrance on the Argyle street side in the basement . All ages welcome.

St. Mark Community Education Program

Free Citizenship Class Winter/Spring, 2016

Book $25
Saturdays, 9:00am to 12:00pm, starting Saturday, January 23 – through Saturday, April 9.

This class prepares students for all parts of their Citizenship test: literacy test, 100 questions about U.S. history and government, as well as, help with improving speaking and listening abilities in English.
St. Mark is partnered with the Irish International Immigrant Center which provides applicants free technical and legal help in completing their applications for citizenship.

BACH Community Advisory Board

Do you care about the health of Bowdoin Geneva?
Do you want to be part of the decision making process?
Boston Alliance for Community Health (BACH) is looking for residents for a Community Advisory Board (CAB) to develop a Request for Proposal (RFP) and select the winner(s)!
CAB Member Requirements:

  • Must be a resident of Bowdoin Geneva.
  • Must NOT be affiliated with an organization planning to apply (will need to sign a waiver).
  • Must NOT be employed by a community agency.
  • Must commit to 5-7 CAB meetings in 2016, including one full-day training, Saturday, 12/19, on leadership development, grant writing and reviewing, and community organizing.
