BAMS Fest | June 23, 2018

BAMS Fest will debut on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Franklin Park, Playstead Field. The festival is a celebration and promotion of Afro-centric culture, music, art, and food, particularly highlighting the contributions to black music and culture to the City of Boston, Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the world. Given the nature of the festival, they anticipate a large turnout of 5,000 attendees. Therefore, many volunteers are needed!

Community Art Circles: Exploring Culture

This group is geared toward ANY Youth 12-16 who would be interested in and benefit from exploring their own cultural identity and learning more about what culture is.  The group is rooted in the expressive arts and there will be lots of dance, movement and fine arts incorporated.

Boston Creates Community Forum | June 2

Boston Creates will host its first Cultural Planning Town Hall. We invite everyone to join in and share their opinions and ideas about cultural priorities for the City.  

Boston Creates, the cultural planning process for the City of Boston, will engage residents, visitors, and stakeholders to help local government identify cultural needs, opportunities, and resources and to think strategically about how these resources can help the community to achieve its civic goals. The process will create a plan designed to prioritize, coordinate, and align public and private resources to strengthen cultural vitality over the long term.
