Reimagining Columbia Road | Oct 25

LivableStreets’ Emerald Network Initiative is hosting a workshop in Uphams Corner to explore possibilities for the Columbia Road corridor. Once envisioned as as a pleasant, green parkway along the Emerald Necklace, this traffic-filled corridor inhibits walking and biking between neighborhoods.

The goal of this workshop is to share ideas for great street design and imagine what Columbia Road could be, focusing on the area from Edward Everett Square to Franklin Park. The ideas and suggestions generated in this workshop will inform the Emerald Network's efforts to reconnect greenways from Franklin Park to the Harbor and to downtown Boston, providing better access to transit, jobs and open space.

When: Sunday, October 25 2:00pm - 5:00 PM

Where: Fairmount Innovation Lab 584 Columbia Road, Uphams Corner
