Boston Alliance for Young Children's Social Emotional Wellness | May 2017

The Boston Alliance for Young Children's Social Emotional Wellness (BAYCSEW) is an open group, bringing together family members, professionals, and community partners, who support the social-emotional wellbeing of children, birth through age 8.  We meet the first Friday of each month. All are welcome!

Fitness Program for children: Fitspiration! | Jan 9, 2016

Healthworks Community Fitness is a non-profit community fitness center for women and children located in Codman Square. This January we will host our winter youth fitness programming for children 6-12 years old--- Fitspiration!

Fitspiration! is a 6- week physical activity program focused on sports drills, cardio-respiratory training, and developmentally age-appropriate fitness skills that will get children moving and having fun!

 

Winter Session:
January 9th- February 15th
Mondays and Wednesdays
 

Ages: 5-8 years old from 5:30-6:25pm

Ages: 9-12 years old from 6:30-7:25

 

Cost: $20 HCF Members or $35 Nonmembers of HCF

Reimagine Play 16

Looking for a new way to get your kids more active? Reimagine Play is a fun, play-inspired fitness clinic for kids ages 5-12 of all fitness levels. The program incorporates fun obstacles, agility drills and body-weight movements to get kids more active and strong.

Savin Hill Little Kids Easter Egg Hunt. An event for children 5 and under (siblings welcome). Special Guests...The Easter Bunny! The Bubble Guy! Baby Farm Animals!

When: Saturday, March 19 at 2:45 pm, Hunt starts at 3 pm.

Where: Savin Hill Park, Grampian Way, Dorchester MA 02125 , Gather in the tennis courts. 

**They are relying on donations, they cannot ensure peanut/tree nut free candy. If you are a parent to an allergy kid, please bring a few small pieces of candy to supplement. The Easter eggs (1500!) will be filled with stickers and different types of small candy.**

Jeannie Mack's Winter Song Fest | Feb 17

Calling all 2 – 6 year-olds. Have fun celebrating winter with Jeannie Mack. Come sing and act out songs about making snowmen, twirling around like snowflakes, sledding down hills, and drinking hot chocolate - to mention just a few. Clap along, dance, and enjoy hand play and finger play games with Jeannie – all to do with the magic of winter.

Books of Hope Poetry for Children | April 4

Books of Hope

April is National Poetry Month. The Fields Corner Branch of the Boston Public Library will host Books of Hope Poetry for Children. This event is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 4 from 3:30 pm until 4:30 pm. This event will take place at the Fields Corner Branch Library located at 1520 Dorchester Avenue in Dorchester. 

The event is for children ages 6-12. They can come read, recite, and perform poetry with the Books of Hope Creative Writing program. They can discover new poets and poem and express themselves in a creative and positive atmosphere. 

This event is sponsored by the Boston Public Library Foundation.
